Always feel on verge of breakdown with anxiety

I had a breakdown in 2016 however with my anxiety I always feel I’m going mad or going to have another breakdown. Anybody else feel this way? Sometimes I feel worked up and anxious and it takes me a while to relax. I mean I never go mad but it feels as if I am.

Happened to me on a very regular basis before I got myself sorted out. Still does from time to time, to be honest.

Yes, absolutely. But I assign a lot of it to an unhappy lifestyle currently. I'm battling with a job I don't like but wishing to stay self employed. Difficult!

I think job stress is often a factor in these cases - I know it is for me.

I have been a bit frustrated that the CBT I have received has not been more effective. At times I feel my ocd is as bad as ever and it creates all this anxiety.

You have to work at the CBT though - it is not a miracle cure

But you haven't tried to do the things your therapist suggested.
