You can get through this by taking good care of yourself and taking it one step at a time.

Please do post a bit more about yourself in introductions as then we can get an idea about the background to your symptoms.
We're flying blind with this post as have nothing to relate it to so canot tailor the responses correctly

Thanks for the info. Will teach me to read all info given. Feeling so awful at the moment and everyone seems really friendly. Just wish I felt with it so that I could function. Have you had many people who just cant get to grips with time and things??

you sound as if you are coping so well. I feel like such a fool. Have you had it to the point that you dont feel anything at all. No feelings for anything. The psychiatrist said that I know the fact of the day but not the feeling. I cannot see anything its as if I dont understand what time is all about anymore. Can you give me any advice??

    Hi Jan,

I fely exactly the same as you up until only a couple of weeks ago. Only the help and support I found here have helped me.

The only advice I can give you is that to reduce the DP feelings we have to look after our physical health and reduce our anxiety levels.
The only way I could do this was by reading the posts and asking people here for help, and thank god, they helped me.
Firstly I had to convince myself that this was just anxiety. I have only recently managed to do this.....I still have my doubts occasionally!
Once I accepted this, I could relax a little.
I have DP almost constantly. Learning not to allow myself to panic over it was the first step. This reduces anxiety and therefor adrenalin levels.
Many people here have had DP, and have now recovered. I honestly believe that it will go away one day.
Im here if you need me, as is everyone else.
    Take care

    Hi Jude
Thanks so much for the info. It still is freaking me out as I have had it so long. My obsession is that I have no feelings about the days and hence dont know one day to the next. I cant chronologically list things as time means nothing. Have you had this or known anyone who has. The psychiatrist tells me its that I don't have the feeling to associate with the day. It is scaring the hell out of me and I feel like I am losing my mind slowly. Sorry to be a bore and go on but this is really worrying me. The psych just said look at it as an inconveniance. Ha ok for him to say!!
