Unhappy Contstant fear. Please help :'-(

I have severe GAD (and ocd and type 2 bipolar). At the moment it's my GAD that's the worst. It's verging on intolerable today. Please can anybody advise me? :'-( I've had lorazepam, done breathing exercises etc etc. It's like torture. Even some words of reassurance would be a help

It won't always be like this, I promise.

What works for me when I'm really spiralling is to engage my sense of smell, by burning incense or dabbing lavender oil on my temples.

Thank you for replying xxxx I'm really taking comfort in your words that it won't always be like this. Sometimes I lose sight of that. I'll pick up some lavender oil tomorrow morning xx

Drop me a message any time you need to, okay?

I've had times when it felt as though the terror wouldn't ever lift.

Me too. It's feels absolutely unbearable but things will get better although it doesn't seem so at the time.

I can't really recommend anything other than try to slow down? Agitation sends things into overdrive and it's impossible to concentrate which is horrible.

I hope you manage to get some sleep and that things are a bit better tomorrow xx
