Nice towns to live near London?

Hey guys, i'm interested in finding a property to live just outside London in a place with little to no crime nice people and reasonably quiet but not absolutely boring, it would be nice to be about 30 minute drive from central London.

What are your suggestions?

Isn't Central London about 30 minutes drive from Central London? It was when I lived there 15 years ago and I can't imagine it's got any better!

In any case, I live in Windsor, which is very pleasant!

Pft, I was priced out of the posh bit. I used to own a flat right by the castle, but had to move over to the peasant side for more space.

You could have done a roaring trade by providing cuppas for the peasants as they hung around the castle hoping for a glimpse of the Royals!!

But even the pleb side of Windsor is very pleasant and you have a choice of train stations!

I live 30 minutes from London on a good train day. On a bad day(most days), it's anyone's guess...

As for crime, today Darren Pencille got life for murder on a local train journey last January so you can never predict where these atrocities will happen..
