wont use my ventolin inhaler because of my health anxiety

So everytime my throat gets proper tight i know in my head i should use my ventolin i dont purely because my anxiety worries that if it doesnt work what then?? So i suffer through it, knowing i have a fail safe if all else fails but i never want to use it.
I am back in therapy now for my anxiety but does anyone else worry aboyut what if the ventolin doesnt work

No I don’t. I don’t know why you wouldn’t take it, you were given it for a very good reason I assume?

No I cant understand this fear. Im a life long asthmatic.

Obviously at times I've thought 'what if it doesn't work and I need to head to A&E' but it's nothing more than that - e.g. A fleeting thought.

If you feel tightness in your chest take one or two puffs when required, as directed. Usually max of 4 times (or 8 puffs a day) but there are exceptions

Please use it as needed! I have the same inhalor and it has worked well for me. If you need it, you need it. I grab mine at the first sign of wheezing. I always have it with me.
