    bowel probs cos of meds

    I dont want to come across as rude or vulgar but since I've been on cymbalta(duloxetine) Ihave terrible constipation.anyone else get this with meds?is there anything anyone can suggest that relieves it and restores regularity,something natural if possible?I have IBS also.

    Hi,

    I've personally never been on cymbalta but my friend was and had the same problems. I would recommend eating more fiber and if your doctor agrees taking a fiber supplement. Exercise also gets things moving. I would imagine having IBS also doesn't help your situation. If things don't get any better do call your doctor. Hope you feel better soon.

    Had terrible problems when started venlafaxine.....didn't go to loo for two weeks and was in agony, however, it has started to get better so hopefully yours won't last either.
