I mean, these days, while I'm not anxiety-free, I could easily make myself feel better by forcing myself to be mindful. I could barely still do that right now, but I could also feel the signs of a potential panic attack.

Do you mean the feeling of one coming on? Or just the anxiety of having one in the future?
Each time I stand up too quickly - you know when you get a head rush - I have to stop myself from having a panic attack purely because the initial feeling feels so similar! Even though I'm much better than I used to be at having a lid on it! It just feels its always there deep down, we just have to find a way to be above it, not underneath it.
