Hi all: my ear canals get quite irritated frequently due to eczema, like flaky, itchy. Today it was so itchy that I scratched and it bled a little (inside my ear). I’m worried it could spread to my brain. What should I do?

It cannot possibly spread to the brain like this. Where did you get that idea from?
You treat it as you usually do.

I don’t know how to treat it since it’s in my ear and bleeding a bit.
Eczema is an inflammatory autoimmune disorder, not an infection. You might as well worry about getting a brain infection because of unusual weather.
Leave it alone then and don't scratch it.

It wouldn’t go to my brain though, right?
How can it? You need to think these things through for yourself sometimes.

I echo the words of Nichola.

I’m wondering if this came from the same sensationalized news story I saw the other day about a brain infection.. in any case, I have had eczema in my ears for years, sometimes with bleeding, and never had any issues other than an itchy ear!
