    Triggered by friend

My friends cousin has been battling breast cancer for 4 years and is no terminal. I felt AWFUL but I wanted to check myself immediately. I have been and now I'm worried. Now obvious lumps or suchc but stretch marks I'm assuming from breast feeding and in panicking I'll find something. I've always have nipple crust (gross I know) and one nipple is different shape to the other but now I'm analysing them all.

Your poor friend’s cousin. But even people with stage 4 breast cancer can live for many many years.

Awful for whom, them or you? I know a few stage 4 breast cancer people, and yes, they can and do live for many years.

Obviously awful for them. She's stopping treatment.

I've since read about another friends cousin who has a brain tumour and now I'm worrying about that too. . .

It's awful that these people are suffering with this horrible disease, but it doesn't mean you're any more likely to have it because you know their cousins.
