    Some tip from this link that I find hard to follow.

    "So what is your job during a panic attack? It's a more modest task than you probably supposed. Your job is to see if you can make yourself a little more comfortable while you wait for the attack to end. And if you can't even make yourself a little more comfortable, then your job is just to wait for it to end."

    You see, the problem here is the urge to make the anxiety leave. I know how to stop myself from wanting the anxiety to leave when it comes to OCD, but when it comes to generalized anxiety, it's hard to relax myself because I just want it to go away.

    They're not asking you to relax, they're asking you to accept and/or wait. They're asking you to not actively make the anxiety worse by catastrophising the sensation into something more than it really is.
