Still very worried after testicular ultrasound scan

So about a month ago, I found a small lump on the top side of my testicle. The lump is about 2mm, soft and appears to move around when pushed. The doctor said he wasn't alarmed but sent me for an ultrasound which I had yesterday. During this, the doctor performing the scan couldn’t see what I was referring to, even though I pointed out the area a couple of times. However, she said there was a 2mm cyst on my epididymus which I’m not sure is what I'm feeling. The thing is, I know it’s not on the epididymus as I can feel it on the curve of the top of the testicle its self. I’m now worried it was missed and I won’t be able to have another scan.

She did say that you would be able to see anything sinister quite clearly however the fact she did not specifically say the lump I have is a cyst has left me in a bad way.

Over the last month, it does not appear to have grown in size. If it stays at its current size, should I try to not worry?

If you had a cancerous tumour then it would have been picked up. It’s as simple as that. You should stop worrying right now as you simply do not have anything wrong with you.

So you've had a Doctor tell you that they're not worried, you've had an ultrasound where they found nothing, and were told it would be very obvious is there was anything wrong and you're asking if you should try not to worry?

    What do you think?

I suppose I didn't word that last part particularly well. I mean, despite my (irrational) fears of the scan missing it, should the fact that it doesn't seem to be growing in size be of further reassurance?

What is the logical answer to that question?

    Positive thoughts

If you've been told it's nothing to worry about, you don't need any further reassurance. That's the mindset to get into.
