Very sorry that you are going through all this..Hope you have some better news today.

Think I'd better stop posting on here for now because his psychiatrist is self-isolating due to symptoms. Not a lot more i can say but thanks for all your support on here xx

Thanks so much! He's still in hospital but probably not for that much longer. Haven't been able to visit for over 2 weeks due to lockdown but he's in the safest place.

I do hope you are managing, Sarah? It's a horrible old time, isn't it? Take care of yourself and thank you again for your kindness xx

    Hi Pulisa

I don't know if you've mentioned elsewhere on here, so forgive me if you have recently, but how is your dear son?

    Hope you're OK yourself. xxxx

    Hello Violet..

Thank you for asking. He's still very unwell but has been referred to a specialist unit for further inpatient treatment. All affected by coronavirus issues of course.

It's fair to say that I'm completely drained mentally but won't give up until I die. That's one good thing about being on an OCD treadmill-you can't and won't get off it! xx

    Re: hugs

Hurrah, when we can see positives in mental health conditions! *funny not funny*

So sorry that you-know-what is trumping every aspect of the NHS (I guess unless imminent death can't be avoided) and that psychiatry wards are also being negatively impacted. As if living with serious mental illness isn't just the pits as it is.

My own dad has had to live with a broken arm for almost a year can you believe, and has also been affected by the coronavirus. It was at first thought it could be fixed with wearing a brace, and then by the time winter hit they decided he needed an operation (duh) and was finally given the date of 3rd April, which of course was summarily cancelled. He's in no pain, can sleep etc, so it really isn't too bad for him. But people like your son and of course cancer patients are just being swept under carpet - I can't help thinking it's an unnecessary overreaction. I'm amazed we're not kicking off more really.

I imagine you are drained, it's often the anticipation of the worst happening is even more knackering than having something actually happen.

Hoping of course he gets what he needs very soon. xxx

How has your daughter been coping Pulisa?
I expect not a lot has changed in your household even with the relax of the lock down, which seems to be the case for a lot of people.
Are you managing to find anything worthwhile on the tv to watch?
'Killing Eve' is back on, but I think you were not over impressed with that. You always have BGT for light entertainment, soon be every night. That's either a good thing or bad to some. xx

    Re: hugs

Thanks to you both for your good wishes xxx

It's been recognised that the CMHRS are out of their depth and unable to manage his care and that our home situation will be short term only. That's open to interpretation of course. I have to take it a day at a time and concentrate on safeguarding as a priority of course.

My daughter doesn't understand his mental illness but feeds off his trauma and distress. Her fear of CV and contamination just makes everything unbearable for her-her world has changed and she can't cope. I fear for her disintegrating MH and can't help feeling that the scars from this awful period in our lives will stay with her for a long while. I hope I am wrong. She gets help from her counsellor online and has regular calls from her GP but they barely scratch the surface of her confusion and distress.

We can't watch TV at the moment, Carnation..It's all CV and she's not into anything else including the soaps..Sorry to be negative ..

Thank you both again. I'll update again if there is any news xx
