I didnt ask for them. I went for the docs with concerns about my symptoms and wanted reassurance.

"Reassurance" from the GP means tests though..and you would never have accepted a benign explanation. Would you?
Yes you do. Just get it done. You can't reassure yourself so it's tests.
Stool results still not back. The lady over the phone said they can take over a week and a bit more. Great.
I've been trying to reassure myself that it's going to ok, but I googled hypochondria, waiting for test results, etc. And it came up with a cancer research uk thread about some guy who was going through lots of gastro issues, and had bad anxiety, worrying about cancer. Turns out he was diagnosed with IBD in the end! Typical, I had to read that!! That's a sign isn't it.

Oh lordy
On the positive side, at least you've had your bloods done.
No it's not a "sign" of doom and gloom and you know it really...It's a sign that you are still addicted to Dr Google and are morbidly fascinated by illness.
Well done for getting the bloods done, as Carnation says.
I'm with Pulisa, it's a sign that you fell down the Google hole.

I've searched this forum and it seems a lot of people who've had gut issues have had raised Calprotectin, so I'm fairly certain with my symptoms, it will be raised.
My MIL is taking me into the doctors tomorrow to discuss starting me on medication. I don't know if she wants me to start them so they can help when/if I get diagnosed with something. She knows my health anxiety is at it's worst right now.
