If it’s the same bug making the rounds over here, you really do just have to
let it run it’s course. It’s lasting 7-10 days for some over here, others seem to kick it in 3-4 days. It truly can take awhile. For now I would just push as much fluids as you can (non caffeinated ones, water - decaf tea - broths, etc) and not worry so much about the foods. Liquid is far more important than food until the worst of this bug passes. I’m sorry you’re feeling so crummy, especially during the holidays!

My auntie's husband and my cousin's husband both had a terrible stomach bug a few months ago - both ill for almost a week. However did they worry like me? Obviously not.

I've finally started to feel better this morning. Managed to sleep from 1am to 9am without any issues, and my stool was more formed earlier after going to the toilet. But you're right, I think I need to drink more liquids as my urine is like apple juice and my lips are all cracked and sore.

Had a small bowel of porridge for breakfast, but won't push it too much on the food.

Feeling much better today. Going to wait a few days before eating all the usual stuff I eat. For the time being it's gonna have to be soup, toast and bananas. I still can't get over how bad I felt! Wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Still watery this morning, this cant be just a bug now? Feeling really depressed and worried, I wan't to enjoy this holiday a little bit. 6 days since symptoms started, so I should be seeing some improvement from down there. My daughter wasn't ill this long, so it can't be that. What the hell is going on??

My partner's just upset me now too saying that I probably don't have my daughters' bug, and this is most likely 'something else'. Great.
