I was booked an appointment this week for home visit from psychiatrist. I didn't know when he was coming but I asked my partner to call them and ask. She was out, and she called them and said he'll be here between "12:30 and 2".
Instant panic attack. Unplanned visit. Not prepared. Don't want to be judged. My heartrate rocketed and I couldn't slow it down which spiraled into a nasty panic attack. I had to take a diazepam and after 30 mins it went away. I cleaned up a bit and had a shower and feel fine now. But he's still not here. Shame, had he arrived at the time he said he would have he would have seen me in a real panicked state.
Still not here. They're sending my old doctor from the mental hospital when apparently I'm meant to be under the psychiatrist and he was the one visiting. I'm confused now.
Don't know what to tell him. What if he takes me off the diazepam because I use 4mg instead of the prescribed 2mg. He's going to switch the effexor 100% because the depression is still there. I haven't taken the promazine for long enough to know if that helps.
The diazepam are a bloody god send though. Maybe I'm just a write off and they'll keep prescribing them because they're the only things that work for the anxiety.
