Just wanted to say I made it! I went to New york at the weekend for four days, after months of being terrified and feeling I couldnt go (and boring anyone who would listen about how terrified I was....particularly GG and Dave....sorry guys and thanks....you can come out now, I wont mention it again after this lol!)
It was great and I'm so glad I did it, not just because of the experience but because depite my fear (I was shaking and crying when I left the house), I made myself do it anyway. I did use my rescue remedy and had my diazepam with me all the time, the crowded streets and traffic did get to me a bit, the scary New York taxi ride nearly finished me off... but I did it! (my hubby admitted he half expected me to appear at the door a couple of hours after he'd dropped me off for the taxi to the airport lol)
The experience was fantastic, theres so much to see and do, even went to a broadway show, which was great. Saw most of the major sights, drank cosmopolitan cocktails, regressed to my teenage days with my friends (including very juvenile humour) and laughed so much at times, the tears rolled down my cheeks!! I'm back absolutely shattered, but with a little chuffed smile for myself.
So thanks to you all again for listening and for your support...it helped so much.
