I ate meat that sat out overnight..

My husband and I had a late night last night. I woke up around noon and for lunch my husband reheated some leftovers from the steak and potatoes we had last night. I didn't find out until after I had eaten it that he actually hadn't put the food in the fridge before falling asleep but he didn't think it was a big deal because he eats stuff that's sat out all the time and he didn't want it to go to waste. I recently saw a documentary thing about a guy who died from eating pasta that had sat out too long and of course I'm freaked out. Should I see someone about this or will I probably be okay?

Worst case scenario you would get mild food poisoning, but if you don't have any issues after 8-12hours you are fine.

Completely fine, red meat can hang around for some time, it's chicken you have to watch.
