Holter Monitor Results

Anyone had their Holter testing done? And if yes, how long was yours for & what were the results?

Im anxious since i woke up today morning till now as i will need to bring back the unit for results. Thing is i will need to make an appt with the cardiologist to interpret the findings and im not sure what i will be seeing on the report. What if its something not good?

Im stressed and anxious now and i think this will even raise my heartbeat which would skew the results.

A holter test isn't looking for rapid heart rate as much as it's looking for weird electrical patterns in the heart.

The test itself is pretty standard procedure for anything heart related and if you've already had an ECG (assuming you have if you're having a holter test) it's highly unlikely anything bad will be shown up.

Hi Joe,

Thanks for replying. The results fr the Holter was 141 episodes of tachycardia & 1 ectopic beat for almost 23 hours of wearing it.
Cardiologist had a quick look and didnt seem concerned.

Hiya,

I had a 24 hour ecg done in September due to ectopic beats and like you was extremely anxious. Apart from a slightly fast heart rate and a couple ectopic beats nothing was found. Funnily enough once my doctor said nothing weird was found, my ectopic beats stopped and haven’t come back since and before the test I was getting them soooooo frequently! Like literally one every 4/5 beats.
