The hypocrisy is sickening as with so many others in public life. Only that this, to me anyway, is on another level
Agreed. I would rather replace them with nothing or maybe an object so we don't end up paying for another elite politician type.

I think my recent favourite was Meghan visiting a charity to help prostitutes where she wrote positive messages on some bananas. I would have thought the last thing a prostitute wants to come home to after a hard night at work is a banana?!!!

Question: Do commonwealth countries like Oz and Canada also help pay for the Royals' tabs?

Only as Quinn says. But that's the same as any other visiting dignitary as it is in other countries. Although it might be nice to ask the people if they want them to visit?

The Queens money comes from our funds otherwise:

Well, no wonder the other countries don't complain as much. You all in the UK foot 95% of the bill.

Although I doubt in your near future you'll ever get rid of the monarchy. Brexit has taught you all to be careful what you wish for LOL

On a side note, after reading that, I can't believe it's still called "Privy Purse". Maybe I need to get my mind out of the gutter, but that just sounds soooo dirty

Is “privy purse” actually a euphemism for a vagina and I just didn’t know it ?
