Yes I have read the replies !!
I was hoping someone had exactly the same as me after having their ears syringed.
If you don't have health anxiety , then you cannot really appreciate the panic and fear !!!! 😑

No, I don't have health anxiety which is exactly why I reply. I see your fear and line of thinking as totally irrational and regardless of what your mind is telling you, it is totally irrational. Your post history is affirmation. You're not deaf nor are you going deaf. You had a load of crap syringed out of your ear and have some side effects that will eventually clear. You've also had several people reply they've had the exact same thing and it's done nothing to quell your fear. Let us know what the doctor says

Re: Deaf after having ear syringed

I would estimate that 95% of members here have suffered with HA and have a fair understanding of how it works. Moreover, the patterns are obvious, even to those non-HA sufferers.

I have suffered with HA myself in the past. I have also had ears syringed numerous times since childhood and have persistent tinnitus today, which may or may not have been a result of this. I have a chronic pain disorder too, on top of MH problems.

But I can only speak of coping and managing symptoms, not a "cure". Some days are far worse than others re tinnitus but my focus is on other things because one thing I am certain about is that anxiety exacerbates physical symptoms of all kinds.

Speak to your GP tomorrow and please move on from this.

    Saw gp this morning.
Ear still full of wax, thinks water may be stuck in ear causing crackerling noise.
    Has referred me to ENT.

I know I’m posting again, but my anxiety is really bad today !
NOISE in ear when talking and eating is driving me nuts.
Have been referred to ENT , but just have to wait for appointment.
    Keep thinking this is permanent.
Its been nine days and started straight after having ear syringed..
Have got an appointment for CBT starting on 27th January.
ALSO have appointment for left sided pain that I’ve had on and off for nearly a year ..
