Breast/Underarm Swelling...Scared

I have had armpit and side breast pain on the left side for about 3 weeks now, and last week I noticed it is quite swollen. It hasn't gone down and luckily I had a doctor's appt today. She has referred me for an ultrasound next week. She didn't feel any specific lumps or lymph nodes, but it's just very puffy and swollen in general- and tender. She said it could be hormones, but we do have a history of breast cancer in the family, so better to be safe than sorry. I just know I am going to be a big ball of anxiety until this ultrasound!! Has anyone had anything similar to this? I am so nervous.

I have a friend that has this and her said it was normal. This was probably 3
or more years ago.

I'm concerned because I am having shoulder blade pain with it. Just read a lot of horror stories online (bad, I know) and more worried since we have it in the family.

How did your ultrasound go?

It came back normal. Just built up tissue and probably hormonal.

I was just coming on here to say it's hormonal, but best to always get checked.
