    It’s anxiety really.
My Mum has dementia, and I think I read a really good description on here - it’s not just forgetting names of things, it’s actually forgetting how things work or where you live or how to do the simplest things.

I know it gets that way later on in dementia. I'm just panicking that I'm in the early stages of dementia and I can't calm myself down. Having a terrible day just crying everytime I look at my children.

Are you aware your fears are irrational?

Yes and no. I know I can be very irrational at times but when I'm in a full blown panic about symptoms that I am having I can't think of anything else but the symptoms and I am convinced that I have that illness. nothing helps so I try going online or google to get reassurance. It does help sometimes. But most of the time it makes things so much more worse. I just can't stop the cycle. Google isn't really wrong about the symptoms . They just list all the possibilities and I always go to the worst case scenario . If there is a 1% chance of having something it will be me.

Seems to me you've had excellent luck being you haven't had any of the things you've feared.

I don't know about that Remember me the one that is terrified to go the doctors and get tested. I'm a ticking time bomb. Though I hope you're right about the luck Fishmanpa.

I'm trying to take my mind of all of this panic so I tried watching a Hallmark Christmas movie. NOT WORKING!!! Why does every Hallmark Christmas movie start off with DEAD parents? I swear every movie I've seen has dead parents. Can we not have one Christmas movie with all the parents alive and well and everyone has a good Christmas !
