    Anxiety, friend had tests...

    Hi everyone

It's been a tough year. Medical tests (ok), losing my dog to cancer.

And one of the only people left in my life that I love (I've lost people) is having a CT scan now for something.

Anyone able to give their ways of coping in these situations? I just feel like so much happening at once.

If you're able to do so, and it's appropriate for you, consider speaking to your GP about talking therapy and/or suitable medication.

Try to find a support group, whether it's in real life or online. And try not to catastrophise. Sometimes, when we feel overwhelmed, our brain jumps straight to the worst case scenario and the feeling of imminent doom as a way of trying to regain control. Like, if you've thought through the worst possible outcome, you won't be taken by surprise if it does happen. But really, this approach just leaves you with more anxiety.
