What is NOT a good sign is that you are checking over your butt cheeks with a mirror and checking for any minor blemish and testing them with pressing, then obsessing about some silly little spot. I've not seen mine in 10 years and they seem to be surviving just fine.

I see Hub's arse cheeks a lot - especially when he flosses his undercarriage with his briefs.

I've also seen the arse cheeks of many strange bloke when doing work at skirting board level in our house..

I can't recall checking out my own arse cheeks though?

I feel like I've missed out now?

What kind of HAer am I that doesn't have checking out arse cheeks on their HA CV?

    I've failed.

Why is there ALWAYS something new? Now I'm in panic about a mark on my thumb which is definitely new. I'm 90 percent sure it's a blood blister because there's a tinier one below it and I *think* I can see pocket of dried blood inside it, feels bit scab like but i don't remember injuring myself here and I'm obviously terifed it's melamona. I know I've had similar marks in the past but here I am running to my comfort of informing strangers in the Internet who are irritated by me.

I tried picking it as I thought was glitter to start with and now it feels a bit sore.

Nora - I have hurt myself in doing so by controting my petite yet 3o year old body in weird positions to look at it.

Carys - my child walked in on my doing so and asked if I was OK so that was a low point. Yet here I still am.

In potentially positive news I have checked my vagina in 2 days now nor am I checking tissue each time I wipe. So progress, maybe.

    I'm not surprised.

my child walked in on my doing so and asked if I was OK
How did you explain this to your child?

I told mommy was being silly and then made sure I distracted them by playing. I have seen how influential they are at this age and copies things learnt from friends and me so I know this needs to be curbed ASAP. I'd hate for my child to pick up these ridiculous bad habits

All very true. So the awareness that you are potentially damaging your child is there, but what I'm not seeing is any concerted effort on your part to change the situation, and only you can.

Bottom line: if you don't want your child to grow up to be as fearful as you are - you need to do something - and fast.

You need to stop making excuses and start working hard to control your HA. There is lots of great advice on here if you'd only take the time to read those posts instead of symptom dumping and seeking reassurance.

Consider it the best Christmas present you will ever give to your child. (and yourself)
