Waiting and panicking
Do you find you walk stronger with one foot hitting floor? Is this normal?
No idea, never focused on it in my life.
She couldn't feel anything of concern and said it's likely small damage to ligaments and to wear insoles as this foot is flatter. I mentioned my anxieties and she said CBT is first choice and medication has side effects so she wouldn't want to jump straight in. I told her I've had it how long and how ridiculous I've been but she told me to give CBT SESSIONS a go first.
So you have your answers so now go and do the CBT next week.

So - exactly as we said then. Nothing of any concern with your ankle and do the CBT!
In all seriousness to everyone but Helenhoo, why are you responding? I know I'm new to NMP but this has been going on for YEARS and nothing has changed. I went back to a thread from 2017 and was astounded at how the conversation on both sides was exactly the same. I've been an idle follower of this thread because I find it so fascinating and have refused to comment because nothing I say or do is going to change her but surely something has to change with everyone else. We aren't helping her by continually commenting, validating and reassuring.
P.S. I know my own comment is nothing new as many others through the years have asked this same question.
I asked myself one day, "What if I actually don't have cancer? What if I'm not really dying? Then surely I'm alive and should be living."
Not a doctor or a psychologist, just a guy who's been to a lot of them.
I commented on why I continue to reply on an earlier page.
So, Rebecca, what have you learnt from this whole experience ? Do us a favour and write something that shows you understand what happened with your ankle and your behaviour ?
