Is it likely tonight was real smells like I said the door was wide open and I was right next to it. I don't know why my partner couldn't smell it and he was outside.

I admit, 5 years of the same shit does get old. My apologies. I shouldn't have responded but since you asked, yes, nothing has changed You've shown tidbits of what self and real life help and effort can do but you always fall right back into the rabbit hole Its gotten to the point where half a dozen or less even respond anymore. Don't you think its time to move forward? Do you want to end up like so many of other serial posters that have been here for years and years re-iterating that same thing day after day, week after week, year after year?

Another night, another faint smell of bonfire in the air my partner won't answer me if he smells it so I'm further triggered.
It is summer-ish.
People have bonfires.
Phantom smells aren't faint.
My anxiety is making me on edge.
Your partner is doing the right thing by refusing to engage with your HA. It's what any professional therapist would advise.
Why am I triggered all of a sudden. I've smelt bonfires in the past post last worries and haven't been panicked but now I am? I wish I could understand how my mind works.
Did you ever read any of those self-help books we suggested?
I'm still a work in progress.

Just smelt bonfire very faintly in the house, all windows are open downstairs but I couldn't actually smell it when I went opened door and went outside. Panicked now.
Logically I understand that makes sense but it's not getting reassurance from partner that drives me mad.
