Also, I did ask a few pages back - you had booked a therapy session last week ? Did it happen ?

He had no answer for the intermittent diarrhea but suggested me seeing my GI doc about that, so if it continues I’ll do that and go from there. Mine all started a few weeks ago when I had what I assume was a stomach virus because I had an upset stomach and vomited a few times and had several bouts of watery diarrhea. I made a thread about it but haven’t posted back on that. Anyway, I saw a physician assistant a couple weeks ago and she thinks it could be post infectious IBS. So I’ll give it a bit longer to see if it goes away. I just wanted to get the blood checked out and I did. Rambling, but just wanted to tell you that blood in your stool is not always cancer! When is your appointment with your GI doctor Hypo??
That’s good to hear you at least got it checked out. I went to the bathroom earlier and there wasn’t any blood at all in my stool just a very small spot when I wiped. I have the diarrhea off and on also maybe it’s something we’re eating? It wouldn’t be a bad idea to go get a colonoscopy just to rule out anything serious.

I don’t have the perfect diet for sure I definitely need to add more fiber.

    Hi there,

If it helps, I've had to deal with fear of bowel cancer in 2009 (I wrote about it here) and what put my mind at ease was having a blood sample taken and being told by the doctor that as my blood count was normal, there was practically no chance of my having the disease.

I'm pretty sure the same would apply to colon cancer too, so it might be a good idea to have a blood test to see how your blood count's doing and then if it's normal (and my guess is it would be) it would put your mind at rest.

Then Try psyllium husks for about two weeks and eat more fruit and veggies and drink water, and see how you feel if you are still having the issues, then go get checked, men need 38 grams a day, women 28-21

Worth a try as psyllium husks are soluble fibre, but in some people it can make gastric symptoms worse! In that case all bran may be better as it's non-soluable fibre which is easier on the stomach

Definitely going to try adding more fiber to my diet. My fatigue is getting worse I feel so tired everyday no matter how much I sleep and my arms burn with fatigue even at rest. Can that be cancer fatigue?

No. Bowel cancer won't make your arms hurt. The key is in the name of it.
