I don't have a bed side table. I have a window ledge but it's not really usable since the blinds are always down. My desk is in easy reach? Which is a complete mess. Imagine a hackers desk full of papers, books opened on different pages, an astray, some empty tea cups. Oh and all the computer gear. I guess since it's next to bed it's technically a bed side table
