Yikes, I'm sorry! Hang in there, okay?

Will do Blue. I was productive the days I wasn't on the promazine and didn't sleep at all through the day so it sucks being stuck in a hazy dream state while still feeling like you want to close your eyes. I got snappy at my bro yesterday afternoon so I think the restlessness and anger was coming back anyway. Like the doctor said, what if I have an episode again?

He's put me on repeats so no need to call and I'm back on 28 day prescriptions. The 7 days sucked. Doctor said don't let him down because his neck is on the line if I do something stupid. Promised him I wouldn't and I haven't felt like that in a long time tbh.

Woke up drenched in sweat at least 5 times too.

Nothing much new to report except I am always so tired. I get into states of drowsyness where all I can do is lie down which always results in falling asleep. Sitting writing this now, continuing with daily life, but everything is like slow motion.

I know know this beats the outbursts. And my partner hates the outbursts. She said if I quit taking my meds she will have to leave because she can't take how unpredictable I am. I don't if I would have been fine without the promazine as I didn't make it that long without them to see. Partner said I was an argumentative ass when I wasn't taking them.

But apart from that I'm doing great. I was waking up sweating lots when I started retaking the promazine but it seems to have subsided somewhat.

Thing is I know this side effect will not go away. They're meant to make you that way ... the logic of the MH professionals shocks me. Roll on this bloody letter from them. It still hasn't arrived.

Another thing promazine does is mess with your balance. I can be walking then suddenly I'll stumble to one side and have to balance myself. It's so funny waking up getting to the bathroom. I'm like a very drunk man trying to make it to the toilet . That went away when I wasn't taking them too.

I think you might be giving them way too much credit, mate. Ime, logic isn't high on the list of attributes displayed by psychiatrists and psychologists. A lot of the practice of head shrinking seems to involve them randomly pulling stuff out of their rear ends.

They may not want to discontinue promazine, or reduce the dose over the sedation, but I think they do need to address this because it is putting you at risk, potentially great risk depending on what hazards you need to negotiate, steps, or stairs, for example. Even a simple fall onto a hard floor can do significant damage especially when reflexes are also dulled. If you haven't told the MH team and your GP about this then please do so asap, James.

OMG Antsy lmfao. ha ha ha.

I'll tell you a secret. I've never stood up to wee at a toilet. I always sit down. More comfy and less chance of it going elsewhere.

I've told them mate, numerous times. They just tell me to relax and it's a side effect of the medication. Few months back one of the nurses said "It's a common complaint but it'll get easier with time". I said "Will it go away?". She said "You'll get used to it". Maybe she was untrained but that kinda stuck with me. My doctor said it's expected too. They tend to ask "Is your mental health better?". Once I respond with yes, they tick their boxes and go about their business.

Then let her take it for you!!!

Reminds me of the expression, 'operation successful, patient dead'. Ask them how many limbs you need to break before they act. Sigh.

She's mentally unwell herself. She's on medications. These days I'm the placid one. I can't recall when I last shouted or had an argument. Her on the other hand, she's moody a lot and shouts a lot. I've told her to speak with her doctor but she won't even admit to having depression. When she visited her doc she told the doc "Other people think I'm depressed". It's tough. I take it on the chin and hope she gets well soon. I've been there, so all I can do is show her support and help her through.

Them: Have you acted in anger and hurt yourself or anybody else?
Me: (shows them the lump on my hand) ... Yes, I hit a wall in anger and broke my bone. I refused an operation and it healed like that. Works fine though.
    Them: No action required

Thus far, 1 isn't enough. Pretty sure they're waiting for a hyoid bone fracture.

That's not a surprise. Ime, a lot of mental health professionals are 'crazier' than their patients. It seems to the same phenomena as most eye specialists/optometrists wearing glasses. I shudder to think what a proctologist must endure!
