Thanks BlueIris,
oh I do hope so. It’s all I seem to think about at the moment.

Ginger and/or vitamin B6 supplements may help with the nausea and paracetamol, aka acetaminophen is the preferred minor painkiller. As for the palpitations and pounding heart, these may owe more to the heightened anxiety than as a directed effect of the med. They are usually not significant unless there are other cardiovascular issues. The heart relies on some chaos to work efficiently. Palpitations, missed beats, etc, are usually signs of a healthy heart. OTOH, a heart beating in lock step can be a very bad sign. As heart specialist Dr. Ary Goldberger says, ''the healthy heart dances, while the dying organ can merely march.''
With a bit of luck you should begin to see the side-effects beginning to diminish over the next few days. They tend to ease once blood plasma levels settle to a steady-state. For citalopram this usually occurs at 7-8 days after the last dose increase.I am on day 5 of 20 mgs having previously done 2 weeks on 10 mgs.

Those initial first weeks, urgh! I've never felt as bad in all my life. Heart pounding on waking, a dreadful feeling of overwhelming doom, so dark and depressing. Heightened anxiety levels, shaking and twitching. And then the relief when one morning I woke and waited for the heart to thump out of my chest... and it didn't, it was significantly more calm. And from that point all the negative sides faded over the next week.
See the light at the end of the tunnel, believe me it is there and you will reach it!
