I also wanted to add this article... It's about how people with health anxiety will be most affected by Coronavirus... NOT because they'll get it, but because the media will influence their thinking

This really does emphasise how a news story can be blown out of all proportion with alarmist media coverage. What we see here are hard facts, no conjecture or sensationalism.

If I could provide this link regarding tuberculosis, it might give members some perspective when comparing it with COVID-19. Virtually zero media attention despite 10 million cases and 1.57 million deaths globally in 2017 https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/68/wr/mm6811a3.htm

    Re: Coronavirus worries?

    Utter BS, crappage and tosh!

There are 1,427,647,786 people in China. Approx 9 million people die each year, mainly due to the country's egregious levels of pollution. So all this scaremongering about a thousand or so people "dead" is a spit in the ocean for Chinese authorities.

People must remember that China is a massive Communist country with high levels of poverty. If you have poor sanitation, little food and no access to medical care poverty will obviously claim lives. Even the common cold can turn into pneumonia.

So as I said above - it's a crock of shit, designed to scare and divert attention away from the real problems we face as a global society

Not sos sure China got real hi levels of poverty, yep it got poverty but yous gotta go to the stix to find it.

Not so sure China is a Communist country, sure theys got no democracy but same in Singapore what no folk ever called a commie country.

Pretty much all folk got access to healthcare n sanitary. I knows, I been there with a Chinese buddy what told me a lot. I even went to a hospital with food poisonin and amazed how modern it was.

    I think it's a city v stix bi-polar kinda gig

USA don't lifted any folk outta poverty, just made it worser.

I never read what Toby Jug wrote (sorry bro &#128546 but sound like he's just one of millions victims of the awful media we got these days. I said before that UK may got the worst media in the world

Well, perhaps he should have told you even more - then you wouldn't be so ignorant of the facts, old bean!

But you carry on disagreeing with people because you're bored outta your head.
