Bump on vagina

Hi there. I am really freaking out. I have just felt a small bump on outside of my vagina. I'm so scared I have vulvar cancer or vagina cancer. Any ideas what this could be? Anyone else had this? I'm so scared.

It's towards bottom of the vagina on the outside so not inside the vagina.

Ok so it could a bartholin cyst. We have these glands that secret oils I believe at the vaginal opening either side and they can become slightly infected or inflamed (some women suffer terribly with them and need surgery but most don’t).

Ive also had lumps come up down there under the skin when say I’ve been walking a lot and sweating. They normally go with in a week or two.

ive done a lot of research into vulva cancer (this wouldn’t be vaginal cancer as not in the vagina) and most cancers are hpv related. A lot of women have vin prior to diagnoses (or another disease that begins with l and causes horrendous itching and burning) and it gets staged just like the abnormsl cells on the cervix. Lumps and growths are much rarer and moles even rarer. Most people that are diagnosed with vulva cancer are over 65 too if I remember rightly. About 1300 cases a year in the uk with most being over 65.

I think this will go down down in time. If it’s still there in a few weeks get it checked by gp just for peace of mind or you might need antibiotics. I hope I’ve been of some help x

There are so many reasons to have bumps down there that are NOT cancer...skin tags, warts, fordyce spots, etc and all are harmless.
