    panic attacks are increasing daily on new meds

    Hi

    Ive been on escitralopram 10mg for 11 days now and since day 6 have been having panic attacks, which are getting more frequent.

    JUst wondered, is this normal?

    Will they stop?

    It can be 2-3 weeks before you settle down.

    This is why I can't tolerate meds lol - I can't stand the side effects

    Panic attacks started in 1992. 1998 i became agoraphobic which lead into being room bound. Couldn't even get upstairs. 2002 i started getting better, able to drive and work. 2005 i became house bound again. 2009 i have been making SLOW progress, still not able to go anywhere alone, but my journeys are getting longer. No where near 'normal' but at least i can go out.

    Diet and phsyical exercise and definitely the breathing exercises and relaxation.

    You have to do it every day though and not just a one-off.
