I got sick around 3 weeks ago with an upper respiratory infection and felt I was finally getting better, but my cough is slowly coming back and I'm having chest pain now right in the center of my chest and one part is actually sore to touch. I can't get a doctor's appointment until sometime next week, and was wondering if I am justified in being terrified.

I don't believe you're justified in being terrified. Get some rest, drink lot of fluids, and keep washing your hands.

I asked myself one day, "What if I actually don't have cancer? What if I'm not really dying? Then surely I'm alive and should be living."
Not a doctor or a psychologist, just a guy who's been to a lot of them.
