Thank you for hearing me, too.

I won't deny I sometimes let my frustrations get the better of me, and yes, I'm ashamed of this.

If we're talking about Phil06, though, my reasons for confronting him harshly come from a different place. Time after time he's told us about his disregard for the people in his life - he's demonstrated it, too. This isn't something I can comfortably condone, even implicitly.

    I know what you mean.
I've been on here for 17 years and while I have things mainly under control I come on to play word games and try to help where I can.
People have to understand that our irrational side sometimes takes control and there's nothing we can do about it.
If you're a sufferer you need to understand others and try to help rather than criticise.

Totally agree with this, and it refers to all of us.

None of us can choose to close a thread because we don’t agree with it, that’s down to the admins. All of us can choose to be nice to each other and about each other. All of us need to try and follow the rules. All of us can choose not to read or respond.

Phil was banned from that particular thread as he was posting links to scare mongering "news" after repeatedly being asked by admin to refrain from doing so.

He was also sent a PM advising him of this.

I am sorry if he feels upset by this. Phil has shown on his other threads that he feels that the world is against him when this is strictly not the case.

I try and be nice when I'm replying to any threads, i know how it feels to have my mental health issues be running away with me and then getting judged and blamed for it, which is why I do whatever I can to help others, everyone deserves help not judgement.

"Help" can also mean challenging unhelpful behaviours though which many people don't like and resent. The fact is that in real life therapists wouldn't work with people who continue to resist changing or modifying their behaviours so they come online where they feel they can carry on regardless and not be challenged or if they are challenged, others will be outraged and the cycle goes on...

Well yes, this too - I couldn’t think of a good way of saying it though!

I also think "severe" mental health issues shouldn't be confused with rigid and resistant negative behaviours.
