What are you finally getting done during quarantine?

I haven't left my house except for short walks since last Wednesday. I've worked from home for years, but I always go to the library or a coffee shop to work and I'm in my second semester of law school so I also typically get out of the house 4 nights a week. Now, my husband, my 5 year old, and I are trapped in our house!! But, I'm trying to think on the bright side... What are some things you're grateful for or some things you're finally getting done now that you're trapped at home?

    Here are mine:

    1. I'm reading all the Harry Potter books to my daughter and then watching the movies.
    2. I can watch Jeopardy again instead of going to class.
    3. My husband and I are going to watch all the James Bond films in order.
    4. In the US tax day was moved 3 months (this is great because we couldn't afford to pay!)
    5. My daughter will finally not have non-stop colds since she's out of Kindergarten.
    6. We're actually saving money by not eating out all the time.

We’re not 100% in quarantine - our city goes into lockdown Tuesday but hubby and I are considered “essential” so will still be working. But - I go to work and then straight home, and I have to admit it is nice cooking in instead of eating out all the time!!

Also love that tax day was moved. We owe yet again this year even after many changes we made from last year, so frustrating. Nice to have a little extra time to pay.

Thank you for continuing to work! We're not locked down (i'm outside Baltimore), but we've chosen to stay at home except for groceries every two weeks or so.

We're going to pay our taxes with the check the government sends!

Me and my 6yo daughter have been home for 5 days. My flat is messier than ever!! I thought I’d maybe get it clean and do the garden, but not yet! We’ve been on a couple of walks round the block. It’s a good time of year to look for signs of spring.
My OH is still working - he’s a carpenter and promises me that he’s not in close contact with anyone as he’s working outside a lot.

I’m WFH during the week. My daughter is playing a lot of roblox, it’s hard to juggle wfh and education so I’m just trying to relax about it.

I started watching “letter to the king” on Netflix, and have signed up to kindle unlimited so I can get lots of books.

I’m setting up our spare iPad so that my daughter can FaceTime with our neighbours who she is usually always playing with.

I've actually landed up with a really handy skillset for lockdown, because I specialise in digital education.

Last week I had somebody contacting me about doing some work creating a virtual classroom for their tutoring agency, so I'm going to be getting some money in at consultancy rates

Other than that, daily walks in the park, lots of crafting and finding local businesses we can support.

Re: What are you finally getting done during quarantine?

I've got some tasks waiting to be started, some projects in the garden, that weren't done before Winter hit so I rolled them over. The only problem right now is I'm having to go out more to get the products we can't find. So, I'm hoping the supermarkets get this back on track so I can spend more time heading for public parks and country lane walks since I'm on the edge of countryside by a 15 minute walk. If the weather is nice it will be good to go and sit watching some cows somewhere.

I've got a massive tree to cut back, guttering that's leaking to fix and a small fench to improvise at the back of the garden. But the front steps are brick and need relaying as some are parting and that's a god job for a day too.

I'm also going to go collecting some firewood today as the council have bene cutting back trees for months and leave a few logs lying about. I know someone with a coal fire so it will save them some money and sawing wood is good exercise for me.
