    Isolated

Hello whomever takes a moment to read this.
I have suffered with social anxiety (alongside other issues) my entire life, have been seeking help for 10 years, and have been housebound due to these anxieties for 2 years. I have lost nearly everyone in my life through the fears involved in socialising with them and would just like to find somebody that understands the feeling of desperately craving companionship while also being absolutely terrified of it. I'm scared of people, but that doesn't mean I enjoy or want to be alone.
I'm trying to get my life back on track and I believe speaking to another human being, regardless of how remote, is the first step I need to take.
Message me if you want to and/or understand. And if not, thank you for sparing me the time to read this.

Hi you have a device and maybe a landline phone so you can make contact with others. Having a mobile means you can skype others without actually being physically present. How about joining an online forum support group, it could be the jump start you need to push the boundaries of your comfort zone.
Ultimately if you don't want to be alone, you will have to find a way to overcome your fear of people, this is the dichotomy, it's your challenge. Maybe once the covid is clear, counselling may help too.

    Stay safe

    Hi, thank you for responding.
Unfortunately it's not merely being present that causes anxiety but any form of communication.
Posting on here is my first step to try get better and the few posts made over the last few days is more communication than I have managed in a long time. It causes me a lot of anxiety even to just type this but it's me making an effort.
Unfortunately I have been under the care of my local mental health team for the last ten years, and have been in therapy/on medication throughout that period but have only ever gotten worse.
I realise that in hearing my situation it must sound as though I am not trying but the very fact that I am here looking for understanding and support is more than I ever thought I could manage.
