    Chicken Juice

    Hello!

I was cutting up some fresh chicken I bought at the grocery store and while flipping it some of its juice (tiny droplet) landed in my right eye. I washed my hands and rinsed my eye with running water for 10 minutes.

Could I get some nasty infection from this? Am I over reacting? Im paranoid that I will get pink eye, or worse. Should I do something else? I will appreciate any feedback!

    Thanks for reading,

    Rey

    You'll be fine.

There is a minimal chance of any consequence of this. One in ten thousand....maybe? Raw chicken is potentially dangerous IF you eat it in relatively large quantities. Your immune system is more than capable of killing off a bit of nasty bacteria.
