Swallowing

Hi all
So here I am, back again!! I'm not sure how to explain this!! I have noticed since around 4 months ago, that when I'm dropping off to sleep and when waking up, I do an involuntary jerk/jolt like swallow. This has me immediately worrying about mnd/als, I have had twitching since November all over.
I have seen a neurologist for my multiple sclerosis and asked him about the twitching and he wasn't concerned.
Forgot to ask about this swallowing problem and I am frightened!! It doesn't happen during the day.
Any replies appreciated.

Also forgot to mention that while checking my tongue over the last few weeks, one side was different to the other side, but have looked again and noticed that the tongue looks the same on both sides!! Is this atrophy of the tongue? Please someone help me out with this
