I note that the Government Covid dashboard is to issue only weekly updates from the 1st of July.

Ignoring Covid won't make it go away, boys and girls...

The daily Covid dashboard stats, while seemingly more useful earlier in the pandemic, were never particularly accurate anyway, so it's probably just as well they're about to be given the heave-ho.

They will probably be a bit more representative if counted on a weekly rather than a daily basis.

Anyway, the media now mostly tend to focus on the ONS figures, of which I think have always been the 'gold standard', despite being about a week out of date.

I'm still not in any way ignoring Covid though.

Imposing views do little to encourage helpful attitudes.

Convenient with the significant rise in Covid cases recently.........

Definitely not part of BJ's agenda...

I know someone who has just had her 5th Covid vaccination. She has continued to work full time in a supermarket despite her auto immune issues and has yet to get Covid even though all her family has gone down with it. She doesn't wear a mask either.

Gosh P, she's done incredibly well not to get it.

It's still doing the rounds at work. We had another colleague have it last week, second time for her. She wasn't that poorly but found out through our twice weekly LFT.

A study at Cambridge reckons that about 80% of the population has now had Covid, some more than once.

It is my firm intention to remain in that 20% that hasn't, so shortly I will be buying some more FFP2 masks and sanitiser in readiness.

Can we just call it the Boris mutation? That covers all known variants.
