I believe there is a quote from Jon Pertwee's 'Doctor' that captures it:

"There never was a 'golden age', Mike, it's all an illusion."

When I was a lad, if I had a thrashing when getting home from school, I thought I was lucky.

Are you seriously implying that you're proud of the fact you got thrashed as a kid, or are you only saying that in jest?

Send all the ones experienced in treating narcissism and delusion to the Palace of Westminster. Get them to drop some Valium off for he Queen, she probably needs one everytime princess Harry pops up in the media

If you were old enough for school you were old enough to be down the pit

Strangely I will be glad to see the clocks go back an hour next weekend, especially as my sleep pattern is currently out of whack, though it might not necessarily be related to all this Covid stuff.

I kind of assumed that was the case, hence why I ended the post with the question 'are you only saying that in jest?', rather than jumping to quick conclusions.

    No hard feelings though.
