Nora, there's loads of craft breweries offering mail order - and if you want to go round Europe may I suggest https://www.beersofeurope.co.uk/

Staffs Moorlands is now on 111 per 100k and their trend looks just like the Bolton one. Cases are sharply rising in the under 60s and I bet if they reduced that age it would show it's more likely under 50s or less. The over 60s show a flat incline.

This new variant may still put some double jabbed people in hospital but we have to look at individual circumstances because the common cold puts many in hospital with complicated health problems. And some older people go in out of precaution.

Beersofeurope are great, as is Beersniffers. If you're feeling flush, Beer Gonzo are brilliant, they're our local beer shop and they have some amazing imports.

It's a case of 'body not allowing alcohol anymore' P.

Fibro, chemical sensitivity, hormone imbalance? I don't know. All I know is, half a glass of alcohol and I'm in bed for the next few days.

I rebelled last year when they were showing old Glastonbury concerts on TV. This particular night was The Cure's 2019 set (I think?) so I came over all rebellious and had a couple of single malt whiskies. BIG mistake! I think I went into some kind of coma for a week?

I miss it though. I miss a decent pint. Used to love Sneck Lifter but it made me and Hubs argue lol Granted, the air was foul when me and Hubs had been at the real ale (and curry) but it's not so bad when you've both been at it, right?

Apparently gin (and white alcohol in general) has the least amount of histamines so I might 'experiment' with half a glass one day and see how I go, but I'm not a big fan of gin. Mum used to get a case of the 'sads' when she'd been at the gin...

Ah, wasn't aware it was a biological thing. Mea culpa.

Funnily enough a mate of mine mentioned Sneck Lifter the other day. Jennings are owned by Marston's now.

It wasn't called "Mother's Ruin" for nothing, Nora - it's oh-so-bloody-fashionable now though, isn't it? All these hipster names you've never heard of chucking fruit, flowers, wellington boots and God knows what else into the mix - hell, there's even a heritage railway running a gin-tasting train now!

    And of course...

Always worth comparing with Hogarth's other famous drawing, "Beer Street".
