Well it’s a mild illness for most but I do sense the fear has been driven up people talk about death and it’s a deadly illness yet 98% survive it. Suicides are at record high due to lockdown then they suggest banning people who refuse the vaccine to gain what? Do they believe that would make them do it? Some might say enough and call it quits?

No if you have an opinion that’s fine but I want to explain society as a whole needs a good long look. There is already a lot of ignorance about mask exemptions which is disability discrimination. I believe we are in the same path with vaccines it’s very sad really. I fully expect people who refuse the vaccine to be “shamed” or “forced into it” suicides are high they couldn’t give a crap could they? So if a few more people say enough they won’t care will they? These days mental health you are just a statistic. Surely these are lives we COULD save?

Sadly there are many reasons why people commit suicide and there is nothing anyone can do to stop them if they are determined enough. Covid will have been the final straw for many who were already extremely vulnerable prior to the pandemic taking off.

Remember you're talking to someone who's been down the suicide path a couple of times.

I spent my teens alone and bullied left school by 16 very little friends I never got further than my next town. Only once I hit my 20’s did I get to meet friends travel and work. If I was banned from stuff and limited socialising tell me my options? Better vaccines? Maybe these rules will only last a few years? I honestly don’t see covid being a big thing in the future once the vaccine rolls out. But if we end up in a situation in were I can’t do anything and I still don’t want the vaccine life wouldn’t be worth living would it? What support is going to be offered to people banned from all events with people? That would be a pretty grim life. An example may be someone homeless who went down the wrong path in life may not want the vaccine but may be banned from entering Greggs for a coffee. This is the dangerous path i fear we could be heading down but I rather fight it first so I take any legal advice and would go to the human rights courts. Especially when vaccines may last six to 12 months we could be talking about yearly jabs to live a normal life.

That is a decision only you can make. Get vaccinated and do the things you want to do... or not.

As it stands, I expect I'll be getting two vaccines a year for the rest of my life now: one flu, one Covid. I was supposed to have had a pneumococcal vaccine this year but I can't as all vaccine production has seemingly been switched to anti-Covid vaccines.

You speak like it’s fact so what am I going to be banned from doing if I refuse? If I take a vaccine this year but the government choose to only vaccinate over 50’s next year will I still be banned even if immunity has worn off from 2021’s dose? Do you believe the government can afford and have the health capacity to vaccinate 65 million each year?

For God's sake Phil, no-one will ever force you to take the vaccine - can you not see this? But the more people that have the vaccine -especially NOW - the fewer places the virus has to go and the greater chance there is of it subsiding to a level in the community where it presents little risk to those most at risk of it. Chances are the Covid vaccine will become subject to the same rules for administration as the flu vaccine is now - where you pay for it or it is only given to vulnerable groups.

My father had a heart attack in 2016 and now has to take 12 pills a day to live a life even close to “normal”. There are people who need intense psychotherapy for years in order to be able to leave their house. There are people who need to be fed through a tube just to keep them alive. There are people who’s lungs don’t function and they’re literally fed air via a machine.

Normal? What even is normal? Normal to you is an absolute luxury to many others. A thin needle in your arm once every 12 months is nothing, absolutely nothing, compared to the invasive and, frankly, horrific procedures that millions of people go through worldwide every single day just to even get close to “normal.”

It’s probably not the type of words anyone on an anxiety forum should use, but seriously, grow a pair. Stop looking at what you don’t have and start looking at what you do have. I honestly cannot sympathise with anyone who would rather not live than have a needle put in their arm every so often. There’s no logic to any of this, Phil, it genuinely does just boil down to you starting to put healthier thoughts in that head of yours.
