Hopefully this will happen in the next few weeks.
It remains to be seen, that's true, but as we move forward and the drug companies tweak the vaccine to contend with the variants, I believe it will become more effective just as they've done to the flu vax through the years. I wouldn't be surprised if we're encouraged to get a booster of a tweaked vax come the Fall along with the flu jab. Perhaps they'll even have a combo vax by then.

Does the cult come with free beer, or do I have to bring my own?

I'd like to know more about the double vaxxed people who have sadly been hospitalised.

Here in CA we've only had people who are unvaccinated contract the delta variant. Vaccines are working so far against it *fingers crossed*

While I know I said that I'm trying not to get as embroiled in all things Covid from now onwards, I'm sure I saw something on the BBC website this afternoon that said that there are signs that the rise in Covid cases throughout the UK might now be starting to slow down, coupled with the revelation that just a single jab of either Pfizer or OAZ is capable of reducing Covid hospitalisations up to about 75 per cent, plus England's R-rate remains unchanged this week.

So all in all, a bit of a silver lining following yet another week of great uncertainty concerning all things Covid.

I heard that about the Pfizer jab - I was very relieved as my husband didn't go for his second (long complicated reasons that I won't go into here).

Catkins, it's been 7 weeks since I had my second Pfizer jab and (so far) I'm still fine.

Definitely. But no fruitcakes. We offer a delicious "we've got all our marble(s)" cake.
