    Re: Covid-19 discussion thread

I've just got my son's monthly repeats (he's on 6 meds daily) and it's taken a few days for the pharmacy to get hold of them all. This is unusual so may be a sign of things to come re delays?

It just makes sense to plan ahead and make sure you don't run low before re-ordering. GPs are going to be "under pressure" (receptionist-speak) and not available to authorise scripts. Covid is going to be the excuse for any problems, I fear..

Pamplemousse, don't tell me you've reached that stage where you no longer get a little brown bag and get upgraded to carrier bags
Not quite - though as a rule there's eight boxes of medicine each time (I'm on seven different pills for hypertension, depression and diabetes) and they tend to come in two paper bags. AIUI Well (formerly the Co-op) make up some prescriptions centrally and then they get sent to my local pharmacy for checking and dispensing.

Earlier this evening I received a text message from the pharmacy, which read:

"Following yesterday's text, our aim was to remind you to collect any outstanding medication and consider when your next prescription was due. There is no need to call your doctor's surgery or order early. Sorry for any confusion."
It would seem I'm not the only person to have noticed it!

Will be interesting to see how quickly Trump recovers from Covid with the aid of all the treatments he has at his disposal.

Very quickly and he will then say he's proved the disease is not a problem. The cynic in me thinks worse: maybe Biden's team should ask for an independent test to prove he actually has it.

Apparently "bleach" is trending on Twitter right now... and this from Australia's telecomms provider made me laugh:

    Hahahha that was hilarious
Well knowing Trump, what else can he say that is true...

My doctor told me 80% of people could catch it. My worry is if people like Trump can catch it could we all be catch this? I seen Trump is being taken to hospital maybe if we all catch it we could all be very ill?

People like Trump? You mean people that go to gatherings of 200+ people. Well, yes, then I'm sure they will get it eventually.
