I've wondered this too. We all know that HA is a very selfish disease. It's kinda hard to keep that selfish mindset or attention-seeking behaviors when people are getting sick around you and everyone is just as worried as you are.

When I saw people say "this is a real issue" it just made me question how much of what they were experiencing was real? A real event can allow anxiety to trap you by falsely justifying your reaction to it. But what if we are overreacting?

The way anxiety works only sees fears and the association's it makes to protect us in the future. It does not know what is justified and what isn't, hence why we are all on here.

If we don't strive to fit our reactions within some range of normality we only feed even rational fears with too much negative feedback. That will spill over into future events and our more irrational ones.

It's tongue in cheek, a joke but ... yes Her Majesty would have to approve it!

In my opinion the pandemic has made life a living hell for those with OCD-contamination issues and it's not something that's going to run its course and "disappear" or change tack to a different symptom.

My daughter's life has been deeply affected by CV and its legacy. There's not much support for OCD sufferers on this site but it's a terribly distressing condition and fears are very much justified in this situation.

Good news! As some may know my wife has been on the front lines of this covid-19 pandemic. Her hospital had at one time six units dedicated to covid-19 patients seeing literally thousands over the past three months. I'm happy to report that there are just 7 patients left at her hospital with the virus.

Very good news Novious where I live in UK we have barely had any problems we have been very lucky, we did lose one nurse to the virus but the ICU beds were barely used.
