Apparently she went to Brisbane and they think she picked it up there.
They've now tested all residents and staff and all tested negative.
Our aged care centres have been bad.
Luckily she was working in reception not treating people.

Thank goodness everyone's tested negative for now, I guess everyone there will be in lockdown for another 14 days.

So Brisbane has some community spread and they're part of QLD, which I thought had zero cases for some weeks, or was the zero area more regional?

Our rest homes have been hit too. All the deaths (21) have been in people over 60 with pre-existing health conditions, most of these were from rest homes

TY, P. You’re absolutely right. Many of them have had absolutely no routine or structure while at home. Several of them have told me they’ve become nocturnal, staying up all night playing video games and sleeping when the adults are at work and it’s quite in the house.

Yes, same here. 95% of the new cases are rest homes and prisons.

Up here in Regional QLD as it's called we'd had none for 5 weeks until now.
Brisbane is the main infected area no doubt because of population density.
    Let's hope everyone stays negative.
One aged care home in NSW (Sydney) has had 19 die.

Just saw the news tonight that most of Aust is out of lockdown but still practicing social distancing measures etc, similar to NZ.
What do you think? Do you think certain areas/states should still be in lockdown until they get the virus under control, eg. Brissie?

    Some aren't taking it seriously.
There's pics in The Courier Mail of people shoulder to shoulder at markets and beaches here.
Some people just have no idea of the danger to themselves and others.
    Far too soon I reckon.

Hollow so what ... (I've seen this video before) and it the police are given powers to protect the people then they should use them if needs be. The opposition spokespersons are free to have their say, that's democracy. You can pull down whatever videos you want from the internet to inject your wacky ideas, but you're not living in a country that's virtually covid19 free

We're very proud of what we've achieved, so go eat ya heart out!

ps. Am glad you haven't posted anything misogynistic this time (with a disgusting poster) ... you know where that got you last time!
