    Hi Alex
    Just letting you know that the sidebar is still displaying on my mobile when I'm using the desktop version. I'm using Chrome on a Samsung phone.
    I tried closing the tab and opening a new one, and also tried it in an incognito window but it still pops up for me.....

    Ummm... I've noticed "phantom ads" recently

    I have ad-block, and although I can't see the ad itself, I can see the black x icon at the bottom of screen which is most annoying tsk.

    What is its biz and what is it advertising?

    Yes, ive been getting that too. It seems to be when I first refresh after not being here for a while.

    I wonder if there is a connection with having to accept cookies so often?

    Yup - mysteriously disappeared today. I also didn't get usual "accept cookies" box so you could be right

    Seems to happening a lot today. Looks like every new page I go onto.

    EDIT: any page including old ones.
