Odour with Urine.

Im not prone to UTI.s. Last week after 2 very stressful days and hardly any sleep went to loo when i got up, all felt normal but about 5 seconds afterwards was this awful Sulpherous odour ..I first thought was something down loo, but its used by two people and was only me it happened to. No other symptoms.. I hadnt eaten anything different that would cause it either. It happened exact same next 2 days. Had an E Consult with GP..As urine colour had varied thrrough day from normal to darker yellow he said could be UTI or Dehydration. Gave me the most awful side effect Anti bios..and told to drink more water... Has anyone else had this sulpherous odour ?

Hi I'm sorry to hear you are not feeling so good x I cant say I have had a sulpherous odour but I have had sweet smelling urine almost like sugar puffs 😂 (and I didnt eat them before hand), or I have also had copper smelling urine and very strong smelling urine. I usually find if I'm having problems drinking cranberry juice or fruit and barley squashes help very quickly xxx hope u feel better soon

I've had it and I am male so no UTIs. It was probably caused by dehydration as it stopped after a few days.

LOL, hate to tell you this, Hypo, but men can get UTIs.

But I agree, it does sound like dehydration.

Younger adults rarely get UTIs, that is why I said it wasn't that. It is not impossible, but like I said, it is rare. It gets more frequent when you are older.
