    Hi pb

I completely get where you are coming from. Did you get the call from the Mental Health team?

The person I spoke to just took some notes to pass on, she did say that I should get a mental health assessment, but it seems such a long process.
Ebay is a good way to sell bits and make some extra money.
It is so difficult to be rational with HA and to not catastrophize symptoms, my hip is really burning tonight and I’m thinking appendix , although I had the same symptoms last month and gp said it was a hip problem and you don’t get appendix in your hip !
I hope your doing ok x

Do you feel less lonely when you are having your perceived symptoms investigated? Does it give you something to do?

So what about the chest/heart pain? The jaw/ear pain? The colon cancer/diverticulitis? Do you just fixate on one pain at a time or do you have whole body pain?

I only have one symptom at a time. When I was working, I was able to control my anxiety better. I had friends and resisted going to the drs all the time.
My sister is going to do my hair in the garden tomorrow, I have really let myself go.
I don’t have children , but I have nieces and nephews who use to come for sleepovers, I really miss them.
Im a real person, not just HA.
I feel my life has been taken away from me and maybe that’s why I focus on illness all the time.

Because you are the one who has to care for your parents?

Illness must give your life an alternative focus but it's obviously not a healthy option.

I hope you enjoy having your hair cut..You need some TLC and attention paid to the healthy you..and not a whole load of medical tests which reinforce the negative side of HA xx

Re: Ear, tooth and jaw pain

Of course you’re a real person and not just your HA. It’s a horrible thing to go through when you have a flare up.
I think we’ve all let ourselves go a bit in lockdown. I’ve been doing lots of facemasks in the bath (the soothing kind not the surgery kind!). Hope you feel better after your haircut.

Do you have time to do home study? There are lots of free courses for people to do in their own time that you can find online. Also it’s a nice time to find a hobby if you aren’t working.

PB, if you're interested in learning to make jewellery, drop me a line. I'd be happy to teach you.

    You can get through this.
